mrc Press Release
'What-if analysis' lets you assess changes before they happen
August 2010 Lombard, IL - Today, software tool developer mrc announces an advanced reporting technique for m-Power: the
'What-if analysis.'
m-Power is software that modernizes legacy
applications and rapidly creates web applications such as report-writing, business intelligence, executive dashboards, e-commerce,
customer portals, and wireless applications to name a few.
The new What-if analysis lets business leaders assess potential business changes before they happen. Using past business data, users can
see how different changes would affect various aspects of their business. Here are a few notable benefits of the new What-if analysis report:
Decreases Risk: 'What-if analysis' allows leaders to better predict the outcome of their decisions, lowering the
risk normally associated with decision-making. For example, before raising prices by 10%, a manager can use 'What-if analysis' to
predict whether or not that change will help or hurt business.
Reduces decision time: 'What-if analysis' lets users quickly test a wide variety of scenarios using real-time data
pulled straight from the database. There’s no need to collect data or run different reports for different scenarios. It lets users
make quick decisions based on the most up-to-date data possible.
Improves decision-making: 'What-if analysis' predicts which decisions will help business and which will hurt
business. Additionally, it may bring attention to previously overlooked changes that might benefit the company.
"'What-if analysis' is really a must-have tool for any decision maker," says Brian Crowley, mrc’s Director of Development. "The ability
to predict outcomes before they happen is extremely valuable in the current economic climate."
