m-Power Enhanced with New Features
March 11, 2009 Lombard, IL - Today, software tool developer mrc announces new features for
m-Power, a software development tool designed for use by developers and non-developers alike.
m-Power modernizes legacy applications and rapidly creates web applications such as report-writing, business intelligence,
executive dashboards, e-commerce, customer portals, and wireless applications to name a few.
mrc recently upgraded m-Power's calculation process to boost efficiency and performance when creating web applications.
m-Power users can now take advantage of these new features:
- Ease of use: m-Power's redesigned calculation screen looks and operates just like a programmable calculator making it easy to use for end users and programmers alike.
- Calculation functionality: m-Power users now have the ability to call User Defined Functions, external objects (your code in any language you desire), system values, and even create their own SQL functions through the calculation interface with just the click of a button.
- Improved performance: All calculations that don't involve Java functions now occur in the database. In some instances, this change will drastically improve application performance.
- Application functionality: Because they occur in the database, calculations are available for sequencing and filtering your application.
"m-Power is the fastest way to create web applications, hands down," says Brian Crowley, mrc's Director of Development. "This enhancement is exciting because it not only adds to m-Power's industry-leading efficiency, but increases overall performance as well."
